Why create annotations in MEG?
Custom annotations is a small but important new feature that helps associate real-life corrective actions, interventions and QI initiatives to your data.
In addition, it is very useful when performing historical analysis and trying to understand ‘why’ (or gain context around) significant changes have occurred.
Examples of events that could be important to include in an annotation:
PPE training
policy update
infection outbreak
The annotated timeline feature is available on line charts expressed over time, for example, the ‘Compliance Over Time’ run chart that most hospitals already use.
