Latest Customer Announcement - Calvary Health Care, Australia
MEG is delighted to announce roll-out of its healthcare audit management app across all hospital, community and aged care facilities within the Australian-based Calvary Health Care organisation.
Calvary Health Care is a network of over 95 healthcare facilities operating nationwide across Australia. Established in 1885, it currently consists of 14 public and private hospitals, 72 residential care and retirement communities and 19 community care service centres.
Committed to providing the highest levels of clinical quality, safety and compassionate care to the most vulnerable patients, Calvary Health Care fosters a culture of continuous improvement by supporting staff to report risks to safety, identify opportunities for clinical improvement, measure patient feedback and publish hospital results alongside the Australian Commission in Safety and Quality in Healthcare (ACSQH) benchmarks.
MEG’s integrated digital tools help organisations like Calvary Health Care monitor and improve care quality, reduce patient risk and alleviate onerous paperwork for staff through the use of interoperable, mobile and cloud-based technology.
Improving Healthcare Quality with Digital Tools
Following a highly successful six-month long pilot of MEG’s software, the decision was made to adopt MEG as the digital audit management system of choice, signing a two-year contract to expand its use organisation-wide. The final rollout will involve 800 Calvary Health Care staff, across 95 facilities (including hospitals, community care and aged care homes) in multiple Australian states over the next six months.
MEG’s system will streamline audit processes, replacing paper workflows and giving real-time reports and action plans to local managers, regional and national staff. Moving to the MEG auditing system results in significant time and cost savings, gives management visibility of performance across the organisation and frees up frontline staff to focus on patient care and high value work.
Delivering Excellence in Clinical Quality and Compassion
The move is set to bolster the Calvary Health Care’s mission to position themselves as the health, community and aged care provider of choice in the communities they serve, and aligns with the technology investment strategy outlined in their Digital Vision for 2019-2025.
The MEG team are looking forward to working with Calvary in their efforts to develop high-tech systems to support staff in delivering high quality, reliable care for every patient. Speaking about the announcement, MEG’s CEO, Kerrill Thornhill, had this to say,
