MEG is delighted to announce the new suite of Clinical Practice Guidelines in Obstetrics and Gynaecology (Ireland) are now available to access on our app from today.
The National Clinical Practice Guidelines are the result of an ambitious programme of work agreed between the National Women and Infants Health Programme (NWIHP) and the Institute of Obstetricians and Gynaecologists (IOG) of the Royal College of Physicians of Ireland.
Clinical guidelines are systematically developed statements, based on a thorough evaluation of the evidence, to assist practitioner and service usersβ decisions about appropriate healthcare for specific clinical circumstances across the entire clinical system.
The guidelines were a key recommendation from the National Maternity Strategy and aim to provide guidance and standards for improving the quality, safety and cost effectiveness of healthcare.
At MEG, we were delighted to work with the Guideline Programme Team led by Professor Keelin OβDonoghue and supported by Programme Manager Ms Nicolai Murphy, to make the guidelines content available for download on MEGβs (Clinical Guidelines) app.
The MEG app is an efficient way to deliver guidelines, protocols, and clinical practice guides ensuring all staff have instant access to them from their mobile devices whenever and wherever they need to. Access to such information at the point of care is crucial to guarantee safe and effective medical practices.
